Parma Ham Wrapped Rice Balls

A bit expensive, but a lovely thing to make and eat!

Ingredients

Cooked rice 1.5 gou (225g)
Parma ham (prosciuto) slices 10
Yakiniku sauce (shop bought) 5 tbsp
Pine nuts as required
Sesame seeds as you like

Method

Dry roast the pine nuts for 1 minute in a frying pan.

Add 1 tbs yakiniku sauce into the just cooked rice together with the pine nuts and mix.

I used this parma ham from Sainsbury's There are 5 slices per pack.

Divide the rice into 10 long ping pong ball size shapes. Place the parma ham on a chopping board and roll up a rice ball diagonally to cover the whole thing including the ends.

Put the remaining yakiniku sauce into a frying pan on medium heat and add the wrapped rice balls.

Pan fry evenly for 5 minutes, turning over occasionally.

Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle with the sesame seeds.

Tips & Note

●These are quite large in size, but you can make them much smaller by dividing everything in half.
