Sausage & Egg in a Rice Burger

A delicious home made snack, easy to make.

Ingredients

Cooked rice 3 bowls
Soy sauce as required
Sesame oil as required
Sausages 4
Eggs 4
Lettuce leaves 3
Bonito flakes (Katsuo-bushi) 1 pack
Sauce:
Miso 4 tbsp
Mirin 1 tbsp
Spring onions 5

Method

Remove the sausages from their skin and put in a bowl. Mix and make into 4 flat patties then fry.

Make four fried eggs.

Divide the cooked rice into 8 and press down into round moulds. Put the sesame oil in a frying pan and fry the rice burgers on both sides until lightly brown.

Brush soy sauce over both sides of the rice burgers.

Put all the sauce ingredients in a small pan and stir with a wooden spoon. Simmer for 4-5 minutes. Spread the sauce from Step 5 onto the insides of the rice burgers.

Take one rice burger and place a sausage patty, lettuce and fried egg on top. Cover with another rice burger, it's ready to serve.
