Stir Fried Lamb 'Genghis Khan' Style

A Hokkaido speciality, it's so delicious with cooked rice or in a sandwich. A real treat!

Ingredients

Lamb leg steak 300g
Sauce:
Light soy sauce 4 tbsp
Sake 1 tbsp
Honey 1 tbsp
Garlic 1 clove
Ginger 1 thumb
Onion 1/4
Apple 1/4
Sesame oil 1/2 tsp
Vegetable pack for stir fry 1
Coriander or spring onions as required

Method

Remove any excess fat from the lamb. Grate the apple, onion, garlic and ginger. Soak the lamb in the sauce ingredients for 5 minutes.

Put a pan onto medium high heat and add the vegetables from the stir fry pack (no oil). Season lightly with salt & pepper.

Put the lamb on top with its sauce and put the lid on. Simmer for 5-7 minutes.

Remove the lid and season with salt & pepper. Sprinkle the roughly chopped coriander or spring onions.

Tips & Note

●You can add chilli powder for a good kick if you like.
