Sardine and Pine Nut Rice Ball

Ingredients

Cooked rice for 1
Pine nuts 2 tbsp
Canned sardine (in tomato sauce) 1
Spring onion 1
Salt & pepper as required
Mayonnaise 1.5 tbsp
Soy sauce 1 tbsp
Sesame oil 1 tsp
Chilli powder 1 tsp

Method

These are the sardines in tomato sauce.Make sure to also use the sauce.

Roast the pine nuts in a frying pan for 1 minute (no oil). Add the sardines together with the sauce and flake them lightly with a fork on medium heat.

Add Step 2 onto cooked rice. Add the mayonnaise, soy sauce, sesame oil, chilli powder and salt & pepper and mix well.

Create a rice ball or triangle, whatever shape you like. Cover with a nori sheet if you like.

Tips & Note

This has a strong fishy smell, so it might be to your taste.
