Stir Fried Pork & Swede in Oyster Sauce

Ingredients

Swede 1/8
◇White wine 2 tbsp
◇Mirin 1 tbsp
◇Soy sauce 2 tbsp
◇Chicken stock granules 1 tbsp
Flour (for the pork) 2 tbsp
Vegetable oil 1 tbsp
Ginger (finely chopped) 1 thumb
Spring onions 3
Pork loin fillet 1
Yellow pepper 1/4
Red pepper 1/4
Green pepper 1/4
Oyster sauce 2 tbsp

Method

This is a swede from Sweden, it becomes very sweet when cooked.

Cut the seasoned pork into strips and dredge with the flour. Fry in a frying pan and transfer to a plate and keep aside.

Slice the swede into 4mm thick bitesize pieces. Microwave for 1.5 minutes.

Put the oil in a frying pan and add all the vegetables and stir fry.

Keep the firm texture of the vegetables, so after 2 minutes, add the pork, followed by all the ◇ingredients.

Season to taste, then add the oyster sauce. Transfer to a serving dish.

Tips & Note

If you're not a confident cook, or you're not sure about how something tastes, oyster sauce is a saviour. It's also a perfect sweet/sour match for the pork.
