Savoury & Spicy Fried Broccoli Stalks

Ingredients

Broccoli stalks 2
Sesame oil 1.5 tbsp
Soy sauce 1 tsp
Salt a pinch
Chilli oil 1 tsp
Sesame seeds as you like

Method

Peel the broccoli stalk and slice 2mm thick.

Put the sesame oil in a frying pan and fry the stalks on medium heat for 3 minutes. Add the soy sauce and salt and fry for a further minute.

Turn the heat off and add the chilli oil. Mix well and transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle with the sesame seeds.

Tips & Note

●Broccoli is high-protein, low calorie and full of vitamins, it's also said to have cancer-reducing properties - it's a superfood!
●In particular, the stalk is very sweet and good for you, so definitely don't throw it away!
