Frankfurter Curly Wurly Pie

A great idea to take on a picnic or have as a snack.

Ingredients

Puff pastry strips 4
Frankfurters (13cm long) 4
Beaten egg as required
Sauce:
Branston Pickle 1 tbsp
Mayonnaise 1 tbsp
Basil leaves (finely chopped) 15

Method

Roll out the puff pastry 4mm thick, 23cm long and cut to 2cm wide strips.

Preheat the oven 220C (200C for fan oven).

Roll the puff pastry strips around the frankfurters in a diagonal spiral.

Put a baking sheet on an oven tray and lay the frankfurters on top. Brush with beaten egg and bake for 15 minutes.

Remove and arrange on a serving dish, alongside the sauce (all ingredients A mixed together).

This is the sauce, made instantly.

I used these frankfurters.

This is the Branston Pickle I used.

Tips & Note

●If possible, use the red packaging Branston Pickle as it has smaller chopped vegetables inside.
