The team at the Telegraph website are after our own heart...cook, cook and cook! They've listed the 30 recipes everyone should master by the age of thirty. 29 year olds around the country are probably right now frantically thumbing through their dog-eared and beloved cookbooks to tick them all off, or indeed calling mums (or dads) with pen and paper in hand and the oven already preheated.

It's got recipes for basic dishes such as simple spaghetti with olive oil, garlic and chilli, roast chicken, pancakes, bread and butter pudding and a chicken curry to more complex creamy fish pie, Asian noodle soup and cheesecake. The full English breakfast also makes it into the Telegraph's minimum requirements...surprised? Well, it may be easy to just fry up half a dozen ingredients, but getting them ready and edible all at the same time is quite a tall order. Phew, you'll need a slice of chocolate cake after all this, lucky it's also in the top 30.
