Plaice Meuniere with Honey & Lemon Sauce

A delicious sweet and sour flavour from the honey and lemon combination.

Ingredients

Plaice fillets 2
Salt & pepper as required
Flour as required
Olive oil 1 tbsp
Butter 2 tbsp
Lemon juice 1
Honey 3 tbsp
Capers 2 tbsp

Method

Season the plaice with salt & pepper and keep aside for 5 minutes. Pat dry with kitchen paper and dredge with the flour.

Put the olive oil in a large frying pan and slide the plaice in gently. Fry for 2 minutes on high heat then turn over for another minute. Remove to a plate.

Remove any oil from the frying pan and add the butter, lemon juice, honey and capers on medium heat.

Return the plaice from Step 2 to the frying pan and baste with the sauce. Cook for 3 minutes on medium heat. Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy!
